Garness Jones Residential is delighted to have appointed specialist Helen Everritt as a Lettings Negotiator – adding more than a decade of experience in supporting landlords and tenants to our team.
Having worked for Lovelle Estate Agency in Grimsby and Cleethorpes for the past 10 years, Helen has experience in residential sales and lettings, as well as business development.
Her appointment comes at a busy time, with rented properties in Hull and the East Riding in high demand.
And Matt Johnson, Residential Letting Manager, says strengthening the Garness Jones Residential team has been essential to ensure it continues to provide the very best service.
“As a business we have been amazed with the demand for rental properties across Hull and the East Riding ever since the first lockdown was eased last summer,” he said.
“We have plans to continue growing our position in the market locally and were delighted to be able to attract someone like Helen to the team. She joins at an exciting time for the business as things are really fast paced in terms of letting our managed properties at present.
“Helen brings not only a great deal of experience with regards to supporting landlords and tenants in the residential lettings market, but in her time at her former employer she also gained valuable experience in business development.
“That experience will be valuable to us as we continue to grow and look to build on the achievements of the past couple of years which has seen us become the choice for many landlords when looking to rent out their properties.

Helen says she is excited to have joined Garness Jones Residential, and by the opportunity to learn a new property market, having always worked on the south bank of the River Humber.
However, she says the key tasks for any lettings negotiator remains the same, no matter where they are based.
“The key is understanding the locality and market and ensuring you strike the balance of doing the best for both landlords and tenants,” she said.
“Landlords always want to find a lettings specialist which can take the hassle of residential property ownership away from them, knowing their properties are well marketed and managed to bring the best return.
“Tenants are obviously a lot more price driven than the sales market, and it is important to understand their situation.
“You need to not only take them to view a property which they have requested, but also suggest other alternatives which may work for them because you have taken the time to understand what they want. We are there to advise and help, not just show people around properties.
“I am delighted to have joined Garness Jones Residential as I know there is ambition here to further grow the business.
